FAQs

Who is this for?

This toolkit is for guardians and caretakers of reactive dogs who are just beginning their learning journey, who have been on their journey for some time and are feeling stuck, or who have made significant progress but wonder if there is a missing piece in their understanding of their dog.

This toolkit is appropriate for dogs who bark at people, other dogs, or things on wheels, or… fill in the blank! It is also appropriate for dogs who are overly pro social, as well as dogs who display fear based or aggressive behaviors.

Who is this NOT for?

This class or seminar may not be the right fit if you are looking for a quick fix or an instant solution to reactive behavior. Meaningful change takes time, consistency, and practice.

It is best suited for guardians who are open to learning, reflecting, and trying new approaches. If you are seeking punishment based methods, this may not be the right fit.

Additionally, the classroom setting may not be appropriate for all dogs. Please email me to inquire about classroom suitability for your dog.

Will the seminar replace the group training or private training?

Maybe. If you already have some foundational skills, this seminar may help tie loose ends together and fill in gaps in your understanding.

You are always welcome to start with the seminar and see what you can take from it. If you find yourself feeling stuck, I am just an email away.

The group class helps build the skills that I discuss in the seminar and offers and intermediate level of support between the seminar and private training.

Will I be able to ask questions?

Yes! The seminar takes about 45 minutes and I allocate for up to 60 minutes to allow time for questions and discussion.

There will always be time in the classroom for questions.

Will the seminar be recorded?

This live seminar will not be recorded.

I do plan to offer it again in the future and to make a recorded version available for purchase.

If you are unable to attend this session, you are welcome to email me to express interest in a future seminar or recording, and I will keep you in the loop.
